The ingredients needed to make Zarda pulao:
- Get 150 gm basmati rice
- Take 50 gm long grain rice
- Prepare 1/2 cup sugar
- Make ready 2 tsp cashew nut
- Make ready 4 tsp raisin
- Get 4 almond
- Get 5 tsp milk
- Get 1/2 tsp saffron
- Get 2 tsp orange colour
- Prepare 2 tsp ghee
- Prepare 1 tsp whole garam masala
Zarda pulao / meethe chawal , kesar bhaat or sweet rice is a popular dish of South Asia. Zarda is a Hyderabadi dessert made especially during Eid and other Muslim festivals and marriages. Afghani zarda pulao is a famous dish from the Afghani cuisine. In that case, you would find Afghani zarda pulao an extremely appealing dish.
Instructions to make Zarda pulao:
- Boil the water with orange colour
- Soak the rice in water and drain
- Add the rice in boil water
- After 7min,when the rice 70% cook
- Then strain the rice and drain the water.
- Put the rice in pot and dry it.
- Put the saffron in milk and mix it for 10min
- Put the pan with ghee in gas and tempt
- Add cloves,cinnamon,cardamon in it and roast
- Then,add cashew,raisin and saute it.
- Then add sugar,water and food colour in pan
- Boil the sugar in pan and make orange syrup.
- Add rice in it and boil for 5 min with saffron milk.
- Cook the rice completely.
- After that,saute only one time from the edge.
- Turnoff the gas.
- Keep it in normal place
- Serve it with dry fruit in plate.
