Instructions to make Fry Maash Daal:
- Clean, wash and soak maash daar for 1/2 an hour.
- I always cook mash daal like we cook rice. I should not be over cooked.
- Take 2 glasses of water and boil it.
- Add salt, kuti lal mirch, chicken powder, haldi,chopped ginger and garlic.
- Cook daal on medium flame till complete water dries.
- Take khalis ghee in a pan add chopped onion and fry it brown.
- Add zeera and garlic in it and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes and chopped green chillies in it.
- Bhonofy masalah then add mash daal in it, add garam masalah and mix it.
- Keep daal on dum for 10 minutes.
- For tarka : take butter in a pan and add button chillies.
- Fry chilli till colour changes to darker side.
- Give tarka to daal. Enjoy with homemade roti and applybutter on it.
