Instructions to make Siwaiyyon ka Zarda:
- Heat ghee in a pan and add Elaichi. As they pop, add siwaiyyan.
- Fry siwaiyyan in ghee well enough till they turn golden.
- Mix food colour in 1 cup milk. Heat it at low flame. Add 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Let sugar dissolve completely, do not burn it.
- When all sugar is dissolved, add syrup in fried siwaiyyan. Mix well, at low to medium flame, to avoid burning sugar.
- When siwaiyyan are blended in syrup completely, cover pan with a lid and let it cook at medium flame till all syrup is absorbed.
- Dish out, and garnish with slivered almonds and pistachios.
